Measure U

SDCTA supports Measure U because it is a well designed program with funds dedicated to the universal TK, an unfunded mandate, and the bond will fast-track the improvement of school security such as fencing, secure single point of entry to campuses, lighting, security cameras, door locks, and integrated emergency communication systems. Additionally, the plan of finance does not utilize any capital appreciation bonds, which are notorious for saddling taxpayers with heavy debt and little to show.
