Measure A

SDCTA opposes Measure A because it attempts to place a tax exclusively on cannabis business in the unincorporated area while allowing ALL voters in the County to vote on it. Additionally, since the revenue from this tax goes directly into the County’s general fund, there is no guarantee that it will go to projects in the unincorporated community who are paying the tax.
